Paying With Insurance
Most of our clients pay for their services with insurance. If you have insurance with a company that we are credentialed with, we will bill your insurance for your services. When you schedule your initial intake, we will request your insurance information. We will also ask you to place a credit card on file so that we may bill for co-pays or deductibles that are included as part of your insurance plan.
We are credentialed and in network with the following insurance companies:
- Aetna
- Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield
- Optum Behavioral health
- Tricare
- Sentara Health Plans
- Virginia Medicaid
Note: We are credentialed and in network with all of the Virginia Medicaid products associated with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Optum Behavioral Health, and Sentara Health Plans.
We will then attempt to obtain pre-authorization for service from your insurance company prior to your initial intake. When we pre-authorize your insurance, we will make a good faith effort to try to determine if you have a co-pay or deductible, if any, and the specific amount of co-pay or deductible that your insurance company charges for your services. We encourage you to check this information with your insurance company prior to scheduling an initial intake.
We will attempt to inform you of any co-pays, deductibles, or other insurance fees required by your insurance company when you submit your authorization for us to pre-authorize your insurance, prior to your initial intake. Sometimes, insurance companies later inform us of co-pays, deductibles, or other fees once we begin billing your insurance.
We are contractually obligated to charge you co-pays, deductibles, or other fees that your insurance company has set for you. This requirement is part of our in-network credentialing agreement insurance companies when we are credentialed with them.
