Our Primary Commitment

Many of the families coming to us for psychotherapy come primarily because they need help dealing with their child or teen’s behaviors at home or at school. Many others come because their child or teen needs help dealing with feelings of depression, anxiety, or symptoms related to trauma exposure. Others come for help dealing with a more specific problem.

Our primary purpose in serving your family is to do exactly that – serve your family by helping you to meet your goals in coming for psychotherapy. Furthermore, we believe that our best witness as Christian behavioral health professionals is to serve the families that we serve with excellence (Col 3:23, NIV – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord”).

We demonstrate our commitment to excellence by being proficient in evidence-based psychotherapies and assessment methods for children and teens.  These “secular” evidence-based practices have been rigorously researched and documented to have worked for various child and adolescent presenting problems. In our view, the term “evidence based” is itself synonymous with “best practice”.
